Lafayette Learns: “The Marquis de Lafayette – The Lost Hero”

Join Jay Ruggeri to learn how Revolutionary War hero, the Marquis de Lafayette, shaped our democracy as we celebrate the 200-Year anniversary of his historic “Farewell Tour of America.” The Marquis de Lafayette is as important to our democracy as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, and Alexander Hamilton, all his close personal friends.

Come explore why this national hero has long been heralded as “The Hero of Two Worlds,” “A Battlefield Hero,” “A Most Nobel Statesman,” and “A Proud Abolitionist.” Lafayette, likely the naming inspiration for Lafayette Miller, the namesake of the City of Lafayette, is as relevant today as he was in the 1800s.
