Hidden Stories of Waneka Lake Walking Tour
July 19 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Free
Waneka Lake and nearby Open Spaces have an amazing story to tell – one of pioneers and power plants, wildlife and waterways, farming, families, and much more. Take a 1.2 mile walk with volunteers from the Lafayette History Museum and Lafayette Open Space to learn the rich history of Waneka Lake and nearby Open Spaces. Ages 10 and older.
Tickets are free, but reservations are required. All donations will go toward support the Lafayette History Museum’s work of preserving and sharing Lafayette history.
Please note that stretches of the walk are unshaded – we recommend wearing sunscreen, bringing a water bottle, and bringing an umbrella for shade if desired.
If you need accommodations such as a wheelchair, ASL interpreter, etc., please let us know (ideally at least 10 days in advance) and we will do everything we can to accommodate you! Email info@lafayettehistoricalsociety.org with your request.
